VOC Port plans ₹15,000-cr investment in its Outer Harbour project

The VO Chidambaranar Port in Tamil Nadu is set to invest ₹15,000 crore in its Outer Harbour project. The project aims to increase the port's cargo handling capacity. VOC Port Authority Chairperson Susanta Kumar Purohit told PTI in an interview that the investment is in addition to the ₹1,500 crore capex, which has been set aside to upgrade port infrastructure.
