Vodafone Idea jumps 5% on ₹4,730-cr promoter funding

Vodafone Idea shares rose over 5% on Friday after shareholders approved a ₹4,730-crore investment from the Aditya Birla Group through a preferential allotment of warrants. Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla also expressed confidence in the telecom operator's turnaround plans. The proposed funding is aimed at supporting growth and boosting lender confidence.
