Vodafone Idea shares jump 4% as report says AGR dues to be halved

The shares of Vodafone Idea (VI) jumped around 4% on Friday after an Economic Times report said the company’s AGR dues may be significantly reduced following a reassessment by a DoT committee. The stock rose to ₹12.05 apiece, extending gains for a second consecutive session. Officials reportedly said the frozen dues of ₹87,695 crore could be cut by over 50%.
