Volunteers remove 500 kg waste from polluted UP river in 39 days

A group of six to seven volunteers in Uttar Pradesh removed over 500 kg of waste from the Manorama River in just 39 days. The river had started looking dead as water could not even be seen beneath the layers of garbage. The group spends nearly five hours every day pulling out waste, garbage and debris from the polluted water.
