Volvo recalls more than 2 mn cars worldwide over seat belt concerns

Volvo Cars has said that it is recalling over two million vehicles worldwide as a "preventive" measure after it discovered that a steel wire connected to the front seat belts can be weakened. It added that this a "very rare problem" and the affected models have been manufactured between 2006 and 2019. This is the Swedish carmaker's biggest-ever recall.
