Voting begins in J&K in first Assembly polls since Article 370 abrogation

Voting across 24 constituencies in seven districts of Jammu and Kashmir began at 7 am on Wednesday. A total of 219 candidates are contesting in phase one of the three-phase polls. PDP leaders Iltija Mufti and Waheed Para are among the key candidates. This is the first time Assembly polls have been conducted in the region since Article 370 abrogation.
