VS Pathania takes charge as new Indian Coast Guard chief

Virender Singh Pathania took charge as the new Director General of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on Friday. Pathania is an alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and National Defence College, New Delhi, according to an ICG statement. Pathania replaced K Natarajan, who served as the ICG chief from July 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021.
