Waiting period to book LPG cylinder increased to 45 days in rural areas

The Centre has increased the minimum waiting period for booking a new LPG cylinder in rural areas from 25 to 45 days. This comes alongside the increase in gap from 21 to 25 days in urban areas to prevent hoarding amid shortage fears. However, the standard time from booking to delivery for domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged at 2.5 days.
