Walmart names IIT graduate and Google VP Suresh Kumar as CTO

Walmart announced it has appointed Suresh Kumar to new elevated Chief Technology Officer and Chief Development Officer role reporting directly to CEO Doug McMillon, effective July 8. Kumar most recently worked at Google as VP and GM of display and video ads, apps and analytics. The IIT Madras and Princeton University alumnus has also worked at Amazon, Microsoft and IBM.
