Want future work to be pro-human: Google DeepMind employee quits over AI concerns

A Google DeepMind employee resigned, calling the pursuit of powerful AI "inherently irresponsible" and saying AI is already progressing too fast. Robert O'Callahan said his team was developing chips to make AI faster and cheaper. He said the risk of artificial superintelligence (ASI) doom remains uncertain but very alarming, adding that his future work would be "unambiguously pro-human."
