Want to ensure India-China standoff doesn't escalate, says US

Trump administration officials said the US is watching the India-China standoff in Ladakh closely and wants to ensure the situation doesn't escalate. The remarks come ahead of the third "2+2 dialogue" between India and the US, scheduled to begin in Delhi on Monday. The US also welcomed greater Indian participation in Southeast Asia including military presence in South China Sea.
