China on Tuesday praised 61-year-old British diplomat Stephen Ellison after a video of him saving a woman from drowning in a river in southwest China went viral. "I'd like to give him a big, big thumbs up," Foreign Ministry spokesperson said. UK-China relations have been strained in recent months over China's imposition of new national security law in Hong Kong.
