Wanted criminal Bablu, facing 40 cases, killed in encounter in UP

A wanted contract killer carrying a ₹1.9 lakh bounty was killed in a police encounter in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya. The deceased, Bhanu Pratap Singh alias Bablu, was facing over 40 criminal cases, including murder, robbery and extortion. Bablu, a Gorakhpur native absconding for years, was injured in the encounter with the UP Special Task Force and declared dead at hospital.
