Wanted Maoist Ajay Mahato, carrying a ₹25 lakh reward, has been arrested in Jharkhand's Giridih district. A Special Area Committee member of the banned CPI (Maoist), he was wanted in over 240 criminal cases, including more than 100 in West Singhbhum. Security forces arrested him after acting on a tip-off that he was hiding in a house.
