Waqf Board Bill based on suggestions of panel made by Congress-led govt: Minister Rijiju

After tabling the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju said that the bill is based on the report of the Sachar Committee, which was appointed during the Congress-led UPA government. "You should be happy," Rijiju told the Opposition amid uproar in the Lok Sabha over the bill.
