The war with Iran has cost US $29 billion so far, Pentagon official Jules Hurst III told lawmakers during a hearing. "At the time of testimony before the House Armed Services Committee [on April 29], it was $25 billion, but...now we believe it's closer to $29 billion," he added. Hurst further said the cost rise was driven by repair costs.
