Warren Buffett calls Berkshire Hathaway his 'dumbest' investment

Chairman-CEO Warren Buffett said the "dumbest stock" he ever bought was Berkshire Hathaway, as it was then a struggling textile company. He first purchased the shares in 1962, expecting a profit, but later took control in 1965 and spent years trying to make the business work. Buffett will step down as CEO at year's end with Greg Abel taking over.
