Warren Buffett's Berkshire adds former director's son to its board

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway said Thomas Murphy Jr will join its board, replacing David Gottesman who died in September. Murphy Jr's father Thomas Murphy was a longtime friend of Buffett's and had earlier served as the Chairman of Berkshire's board and had also led Capital Cities/ABC. The elder Murphy resigned from Berkshire's board in February before his death in May.
