Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali recently revealed that he was abducted from his college hostel by a local political gang. He explained getting abducted in a rickshaw at 2 am for removing a poster from the front wall of his hostel. However, he was eventually let go by the group's leader after a misunderstanding turned the members against each other.
