Was abused for not singing secular song at concert: Bengali singer

Bengali singer Lagnajita Chakraborty alleged she was abused for not singing a “secular” song at a concert. Chakraborty said a man, Mehboob Mallik, used abusive language and tried to assault her during a show at a school in East Midnapore. She was singing spiritual song ‘Jago Maa’ when he stormed the stage, shouting, “Enough of Jago Maa, sing secular song.”
