Actor-director Raju Kher revealed that he went through a "bad phase" after selling his house for a project that never materialised. "I felt that my brother [Anupam Kher] didn't help me out," Raju added. In the same interaction, Raju said reading an article about Anupam not having a child made him realise that he had taken his brother "for granted".
