Washington Post calls ISIS' Baghdadi 'austere religious scholar'

The Washington Post has been criticised for calling ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi "an austere religious scholar" in its headline after his death during a US raid. The story's first headline had described al-Baghdadi as "Islamic State's terrorist-in-chief" but this was later changed to "austere religious scholar". Following criticism, it apologised and changed the headline to "extremist leader".
