Washington Wizards names Brian Keefe as head coach

Brian Keefe, interim head coach, has been advanced to the permanent position, the team announced on Wednesday. Keefe succeeded Wes Unseld Jr., who was promoted to the front office in January. Keefe began his NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs under Gregg Popovich in 2005. This will be Keefe's first head coaching position at any level.
