Water buried on Moon for billions of yrs is stable, reveals Chandrayaan-2 data

Taking help from Chandrayaan-2 data, a new international study has found that water ice deposits in the Moon's permanently shadowed regions (PSRs) are more stable than previously thought. The study said PSRs can preserve water ice and other frozen volatiles for billions of years if temperatures remain sufficiently low. It added that 74% of PSRs remain unaffected by impacts.
