Water cannons used as Congress protests distillery licence nod

The police used water cannons to disperse the Youth Congress workers marching towards the Kerala Assembly in Thiruvananthapuram. The workers were protesting against state cabinet's decision to grant licence to a brewery and distillery in Kanjikode, Palakkad district. Congress had raised concerns about the approval granted to Oasis, alleging corruption behind the decision.
