Water crisis worsens in Nashik; only 5% water left in dams
The water crisis in Maharashtra's Nashik has worsened as 15 out of 24 water reservoirs have gone dry. The overall water stock in reservoirs has also decreased to 5% of its capacity, officials said on Friday. Reportedly, pre-monsoon rainfall in Nashik from June 1 to June 14 was 292.1 mm, compared to 436 mm during the same period last year.
