Water detected on Solar System's largest metallic asteroid

Scientists have detected the presence of water on Psyche, the largest metallic asteroid in the Solar System. Scientists have proposed that the water-rich minerals detected on Psyche might have been delivered by carbonaceous asteroids that impacted Psyche in the past. The metallic asteroid is the target of a proposed NASA mission to explore the origin of planetary cores.
