Wayanad village creates 25000-sq-ft pookkalam for elephant Maniyan

A village in Wayanad's Irulam has created a massive 25,000-sq-ft Onam pookkalam featuring King Mahabali and beloved wild elephant Maniyan. Around 10 tonnes of flowers were brought from Gundlupet for the floral tribute, which took three days to complete. The Onam festival, organised by a people's collective, will continue until August 27 with cultural and sporting events.
