Waymo may end Uber robotaxi partnership, launch own app: Report

Alphabet's robotaxi unit Waymo is considering ending its partnership with Uber and launching its own app, FT reported. The companies have clashed over operational and commercial issues, with Waymo flagging vehicle cleanliness and routing issues, while Uber cited poor performance in bad weather. Waymo has reportedly told Uber it plans to operate independently in partner markets from January 2028.
