Waymo to provide 5,00,000 paid robotaxi rides every week

Autonomous driving technology firm Waymo announced on X it is providing 5,00,000 paid robotaxi rides every week across 10 US cities. This comes amid the company expanding from initial markets of Phoenix, San Francisco and Los Angeles to regions like Austin, Atlanta, Miami and Houston. Notably, Waymo had 3,067 robotaxis equipped with its 5th-generation self-driving system as of December 2025.
