The outbreak of Chandipura virus has caused havoc across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, leading to 16 deaths and 50 reported cases of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome. According to experts, vector control, hygiene, and awareness are the key measures against the symptoms of the vector-borne disease spread by the female phlebotomine sandfly, which is abundant during the early monsoon season.
