WB 'anti-social activities' Bills based on UP, Guj laws: Reports

West Bengal government will table two 'anti-social activities' Bills in the Assembly reportedly modelled on UP and Gujarat laws. The Bills will propose preventive detention of a year without trial and auctioning offenders' properties to compensate for losses, officials said. With such laws in place, people will think before taking law into their own hands, CM Suvendu Adhikari earlier said.
