WB announces no action against students in NEET protest cases registered till July 26

CM Suvendu Adhikari-led West Bengal government announced that no coercive action will be taken against students involved in NEET protest-related cases registered up to 6 PM on July 26. However, the state government clarified that the protection won't apply to individuals with criminal antecedents. The order came after Supreme Court restrained states from taking coercive action against protesters.
