WB bans govt employees from interacting with media, criticising govt policies

West Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Agarwal barred all state government employees, civil servants, and police from interacting with the media without approval. This includes participating in media programs, revealing documents/information, and writing for newspapers. Members have been completely prohibited from "indulging in...adverse criticism of any policy...of the central or state government".
