West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari warned that anyone attacking police personnel will be arrested and punished through legal channels. He also announced recruitment of 29,000 police personnel, including 131 SIs/ASIs in December and 4,000 constables in January, and said the state has sought two additional Indian Reserve Battalions from the Centre.
