WB govt ends services of nominated members in non-statutory bodies

Newly sworn-in West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari's government ordered the immediate removal of nominated members, directors and chairpersons of non-statutory bodies, boards and PSUs under its jurisdiction. The directive also ended the tenure of officials on re-employment or service extension beyond the retirement age of 60. Officials, however, didn't immediately explain the reasons behind the move.
