WB govt orders closure of illegal toll gates, barricades across state

West Bengal government ordered the closure of toll gates, drop gates, and barricaded structures operating without government approval across the state. “Any collection of fees, charges, or levies at such unauthorised points shall cease forthwith," Chief Secretary’s office said in the order. DM were instructed to identify illegal toll gates in their areas and take immediate steps to remove them.
