WB govt to remove 136-yr-old mosque from Kolkata airport: BJP MLA
The BJP-led West Bengal government has decided to relocate the 136-year-old Bankra Mosque from inside Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, citing security and operational concerns. BJP MLA Sourav Sikdar said the mosque is located in the runway area and prevents operations on both runways. "Now, the Airports Authority will take action to remove the mosque," he added.
