WB has to play vital role in Purvodaya mission: PM in Durga Puja address

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the people of West Bengal on the occasion of the beginning of Durga Puja. He said the Centre has adopted the mantra of 'Purvodaya', taking decisions for the development of eastern India, in which West Bengal has to play an important role. He added ₹8,500 crore were approved for Kolkata's East-West Metro Corridor.
