A Kolkata medical intern has faced online backlash after sharing a photograph reportedly showing her suturing a woman after childbirth. Dr Sudeshna said the mother had given consent four hours after delivery and denied violating medical guidelines. The controversy has also revived scrutiny over her earlier posts featuring a newborn, for which she later apologised.
