WC 2030 a great chance to celebrate its centenary with 64-team tournament: CONMEBOL chief
South American football's governing body CONMEBOL is pushing to expand the FIFA World Cup 2030 to 64 teams. "It'll be a great opportunity for football to celebrate the World Cup's centenary with a 64-team tournament," CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez said. The 2030 edition will be hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with one match each in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
