We allow freshers to decide their own compensation: TCS HR Head

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) HR Head Milind Lakkad told Moneycontrol that TCS allows freshers to decide their own compensation. On being told that freshers' salary has remained stagnant at about ₹3.5 LPA, Lakkad said, "If you take digital skills...people get double the base salary at ₹3.5 LPA." He added that TCS pays differentially based on competency under its 'Xplore' program.
