US State Secretary Mike Pompeo has said that his country is "obligated" to fight Iran in Venezuela. "People don't recognise that Hezbollah has active cells — the Iranians are impacting the people of Venezuela and throughout South America," he added. The US considers Lebanon-based and Iran-backed Hezbollah, a terrorist organisation.
