Coinbase's Chief Security Officer Philip Martin has denied reports suggesting the cryptocurrency exchange was involved in US Department of Justice's recovery of $2.3 million in Bitcoin from a hacker group. "Coinbase was not the target of the warrant and did not receive the ransom," Martin said. "We also have no evidence the funds went through a Coinbase account/wallet," he added.
