We don't meddle in US elections, don't meddle in ours: Germany's Merz

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz warned it is illegal for political parties to receive foreign funding ahead of state-level elections in September. "We don't interfere in US elections...I don't want US government to interfere in German elections," he added. This comes after US reportedly launched a programme to provide upto $5 million to "organisations with shared political philosophy" in Europe.
