We ensured safe transit of 449 ships carrying oil, cargo worth $8.4 billion: India at UN

Amid disruptions in Strait of Hormuz and Red Sea, India’s Ambassador to UN said commercial shipping must not become a target of geopolitical rivalry. Highlighting Indian Navy’s contribution, he said that as of September 14, Indian maritime security operations in Gulf of Aden and Red Sea ensured safe transit of 449 merchant vessels carrying cargo and oil worth $8.4 billion.
