Indian envoy to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi said India had "hardly any choice" but to allow deposed Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina's aircraft to land in August 2024 amid anti-government agitation. "It was our duty as a neighbour to accept the reality of life," he stated. His remarks came amid Bangladesh's renewed demand for Hasina's extradition to Bangladesh.
