We'll avoid suo motu cases unless someone files a complaint: CCI

Competition Commission of India (CCI) said it is avoiding taking up suo motu cases unless no one is willing to come forward with a complaint. It cited conflict of interest arising from initiating and adjudicating such cases as reason for the move. CCI, which keeps unfair business practices in check, will also exercise restraint in sectors where sectoral regulators exist.
