We will not implement Waqf Act in Karnataka: Minister BZ Zameer

Karnataka Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan on Sunday opposed the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025, saying the state government has decided not to implement it. He added, "West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka governments have made a decision...that this is not acceptable to us...This bill should not have passed, but it has passed." Several political parties have challenged the Act.
