WebMD to be bought by private equity firm KKR for ₹18,000 cr

Online health publisher WebMD Health on Monday said that it has agreed to be bought by private equity firm KKR in a deal valued at about $2.8 billion (over ₹18,000 crore). The deal brings together WebMD's websites, such as WebMD.com, Medscape.com, and MedicineNet.com, and KKR's DentalPlans.com, and AllAboutCounseling.com. Founded in 1996, WebMD is one of the most popular health websites.
